There is a list of companies that have applied for a license to generate business in Nevada, and the total so far has reach 32 with the confirmed application of Canada’s NRT Technology Corp. as a leading service provider.
The Toronto-based NRT Tech runs a branch located in Las Vegas and is a huge manufacturer of ATP kiosks and related payment-processing equipment. If it is accepted the NRT will provide relating services for Nevada’s new online sector.
The NRT’s application means that the Nevada Gaming Commission has gotten these applications to date according to category:
11 Operators
17 Manufacturers
24 Service Providers
Many entities have applied in more than one category and account for the coverage such as South Point Poker. It has just received approval for the applications in three categories and is said to be the first one to have virtual real-money cards in the air. There are three of 32 corporate entities that have applied in a forth category. These three entities are Aristocrat Technologies, WMS Industries, Inc. and SG Gaming Inc.
WMS and Aristocrat are commonly known slot-machine manufacturers and are supposed to provide equipment to support the future poker sites. SG Gaming is a part of Scientific Games and makes lottery-ticket kiosks.
International Game Technology, Bally Technologies and Shuffle Master have already gotten their interactive gaming licenses and are supposed to provide online poker services to brick-and-mortar casinos that are working on the application process.
